Charles O’Hegarty lebte von 1937 – 2010 in London, Kanada und US und war viel in Pubs unterwegs. Die von ihm gewählte und gesungene Sammlung von Publiedern ist etwas besonderes.
Er hat wenig selbst veöffentlich. Und Aufnahmen von ihm werden hierzulande erst nach und nach bekannt und Auswahl – Ausnahmen von ihm veröffentlicht. So auch auf der vorliegenden CD MIT AUFNAHMEN VON 1964 – 1970.
Das Label Lollipoppe Shoppe hat nun 2025 die CD „Th more I travel“ herausgebrcht und einen Flyer beigelegt von „Ye old English Pub Songs & Ballads from London Towne. Es sie so aus, als sei eine weiter CD von Charles O’Hegarty geplant.
Die Song sind wie aktuell, gut eingespielt und angenehm zu hören mit einem beeindruckenden Gitarrenspiel, mit Bluesstimme und Fingericking Freude für jeden aufmerksamen Hörer.
